Environmental monitoring

During last 17 years VESDEC staffs have conducted environmental monitoring for 12 international and national projects:

1. External Monitoring for ADB’s Project: the Resettlement Action Plan of the Trans-Asia Highway (ADB Project), 1998-2001 (resettlement monitoring).
2. Environmental Monitoring for the WB’s Project: the Southern Waterway Rehabilitation and Cantho (Can Tho) Port (Client: PMU-W/MOT) 2000-2005 (water quality, air quality, noise, sediment, aquatic organisms).
3. Setting up the Environmental Monitoring Network for Dongnai Province, 2000.
4. Setting up the Environmental Monitoring Network for Tiengiang Province, 2001.
5. Environmental Monitoring for the JBIC’s Project: Saigon West-East Highway , 2004-2010 (water quality, sediment, air quality, noise, aquatic organisms).
6. Environmental Monitoring for the Phumy Thermal Power Plant 2.2 (Client:Mekong Energy Co.), 2003- 2010 (air quality, noise).
7. Environmental Monitoring for Phumy Energy Complex 3,850 MW (Client: EVN and Mekong Energy Co.) 2004- 2010 (water quality, air quality, aquatic organisms)
8. Environmental Monitoring for the JBIC’s Project “Development of the New International Terminal Area in Tansonnhat Airport, Ho Chi Minh City (Client: KTOM-Japan), 2004- 2010 (air quality, noise, vibration, water quality).
9. Study on Water Quality Monitoring for the WB’s Project “Development and Protection of Southern Coastal Wetland” (Client: MARD), 2005-2006 (water quality, sediment, aquatic organisms).
10. Environmental monitoring for the Bassac River By-Pass Canal Dredge Project in the Mekong Delta (Client: WCC - MOT), 2010, 2011 (water quality, sediment, air quality, noise, soil erosion, public health).
11. Environmental monitoring for the JICA’ Project of T2 International Terminal in Noibai Airport in the Pre – Construction Phase (Client: Japan Airport Consultants – JAC), 2010 (air, noise, vibration, water pollution).
12. Environmental monitoring for the airports in the Southern Vietnam (Tansonnhat, Buon Mathuot, Dalat, Cantho, Rachgia, Phuquoc) managed by the Southern Airport Corporation, 2009 to now (air, noise, vibration, water pollution)
13. Environmental monitoring for the JICA’ Project of T2 International Terminal in Noibai Airport in the Construction Phase (Client: Taisei-Vinaconex Japan-Vietnam JV), from 2012 (air, noise, vibration, water pollution).
